We are an un-auditioned choir which nevertheless reaches a high standard. We welcome experienced singers, but also seek to encourage singers who are out of practice or less experienced. Our aim is to improve the singing technique of all our members and while it's a help if you can read music, we are equally happy if you can learn quickly "by ear".
After lock-down in March 2020, our conductor Tim Armstrong-Taylor continued running rehearsals on Zoom. Although not quite the same as singing together these were fun and kept our vocal chords in shape! It was lovely to see each other, albeit via a screen.
We are delighted that we returned to normal rehearsals under Covid-safe conditions at St Margaret's Church, Uxbridge, for the whole of the Autumn term. After a pause at the start of the year due to a surge of the Covid Omicron variant, face-to face-rehearsals resumed again in January and we were delighted to give our first concert since lockdown on 12th March - a programme of Mozart and Handel.
We would now like to invite new singers to our open evening on Wednesday 16th March at St Margaret's Church, Uxbridge UB8 1AB at 7.45 pm. If you can't make this date don't worry, you can come along on any subsequent Wednesday.
For full details of the rehearsals, including Covid safety precautions, please see the committee's welcome back letter here, issued Autumn 2021. Welcome Back Letter
The subscription cost for the first half year will be £60, due in September (£120 for the full year).
